This is the perfect drink for detoxing, boosting immunity and giving nutrients to the body.
Carrot, lime and ginger juice have beneficial effects on your immune system, thanks to its supply of vitamins A and C.
Vitamin A, supports your immune health. Just 4 ounces of carrot juice packs 125 percent of your Daily Value (DV) of vitamin A, per the USDA.
This juice benefits the skin, too. The vitamin C found in the juice helps boost collagen production, a process needed for wound healing as well as to keep your skin strong.
Limes are high in vitamin C and antioxidants — both of which may offer health benefits. Eating limes or drinking the juice may improve immunity, reduce heart disease risk factors, prevent kidney stones, aid iron absorption, and promote healthy skin.
About 7 large carrots, cut into chunks
10 cups fresh water
4 fresh limes juiced or 1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons of fresh ginger or 1 tablespoon ginger extract
Use any sweetener to your taste or none at all
***Optional add 1 tablespoon organic ground turmeric powder for additional benefits.
Blend carrots, fresh ginger (if using extract, add later) and water in blender. Do in intervals to blend all. Strain into juice pitcher or large bowl. **Use pulp later for carrot cake or muffins.
Take strained juice, add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
Serve in glasses with lime slices.
